Love My Staub Cast Iron Perfect Pan

A few months ago, I went on a shopping spree to build my arsenal of cooking tools.  I’ve been nothing but thrilled with my purchase of the Staub Cast Iron Perfect Pan (I bought mine at Sur le Table).  It’s a Wok, a Saute’ Pan, and much more all in one pan.  I love the fact that it has a black bottom finish so that it doesn’t stain like some other enameled cookware out there on the market.  It also seems a bit more light weight than other brands, so for me, that makes it easier to handle in the kitchen.  I love that!

Ok, so now I have the pan.  I need to cook something in it soon, or else my husband will kill me because of all the money I spent on my shopping spree.  On my pan’s maiden voyage, I decided to make one of my go to stir-fry dishes.  Just a simple broccoli and beef.  No pressure to do anything else but just test the pan and see how I liked it.  I LOVED it.  Made me want to cook more and more stir-fry dishes after using this pan. Clean up was a breeze too!  Total yum right here, I’m telling you…AND an amazing pan to cook it all in!

So now it was time to use this wonderful pan to test a recipe for Cooks Illustrated Magazine.   The dish was Japanese Stir-fried Noodes with Beef.   I can’t disclose the recipe yet, but I can say it was one of the most delicious stir-frys I’ve ever made.  Stay tuned on Cooks Illustrated to get the details of this awesome recipe.

So, all said, this pan is the bomb.  Worth every penny of the investment.  Replaces at least two woks and a few sauté pans that I’ve bought over the years and will last forever!  Love my Staub!  Look for my Broccoli Beef Stir-fry recipe coming soon.

TTFN,

The Baroness
