Who doesn’t like meatballs? Not anyone in my family, anyway. Wrap ‘em in bacon and well, they practically get inhaled. With football season in full swing, and the holiday party season just around the corner, make these fresh, or make-ahead a double batch of these awesome meatballs and make your entertaining a little less stressful.

Neiko – The New Kitchen Assistant
My dogs love it when I cook. Ha, ha! I hope my husband and kids do too. But my dogs really love it when I cook. They are my faithful assistants from start to finish. Endlessly watching the floor for every little crumb or morsel that could possibly fall from the counter so they can help me “clean” things up. Sometimes it gets annoying when I take the food out of the oven since they are hovering around me like Hyenas. But, overall, I’ll take their furry little (or not so little) butts planted on my kitchen throw rugs (so they won’t slide on the tile) any day!
I recently did a photo shoot for a column that I started writing for a local publication. Before the photos, though, must come the food. Bacon Wrapped Meatballs and Chicken Drumsticks, were just a few of the recipes I was making on this particular day. After the photo shoot, Neiko, my Siberian Husky helped clean up the baking sheet I used. He really liked the Bacon Wrapped Meatballs leftovers. And, YES, I washed and sterilized it in the dishwasher afterwards. This picture of him was just too cute not to share.
Under normal circumstances, Neiko likes to spend most of his day lounging around in his dog crate (it’s his cave), but when he hears me start to work in the kitchen, he comes running.

I’ve Seen The Light
A few posts ago, I was letting you all know about the highly anticipated arrival of my new photography toys. I’ve mentioned in earlier posts that I’m building my blog from the ground up and each month I’m making improvements, buying new toys and generally growing my blog to “big girl” status. Right now I think I’m just learning to crawl. Soon I’ll be walking, then I’ll be running! Here’s a picture that I recently took for a Sips and Apps column I’m writing for a local magazine. Using my new Lowel Ego light and tripod, my shots are taking on a whole new life. Yes, I’ve seen the light! Look for recipes in upcoming posts. Sorry, just had to share because I’m so happy. Giggle.
Time to cook more, take more pictures.
TTFN,
The Baroness
